 Got an Apple iPhone or considering buying one?
Well you’re probably eager to know if the iPhone works with any Cygnett iPod accessories! The good news is that the majority of Cygnett’s accessories are already compatible*! Check out our iPhone compatibility chart and refer to the information below to get your iPhone up and running. My iPhone brings up a message "is not made to work with iPhone" when I connect the accessory to it? Your iPhone will display this pop-up message when you connect your iPhone to your existing Cygnett iPod accessory. It will then ask you if you wish to switch to ‘Airplane Mode’. You then have 3 options;
1.Yes (enter Airplane Mode). This will temporarily disable your iPhone’s telephone capabilities while you are using the Cygnett iPod accessory. When you disconnect the accessory from your iPhone, it will automatically exit Airplane Mode.
2.No - your iPhone will still operate normally and if your phone rings, the music will fade in/out before & after you take the call. You may experience some TDMA noise.
3.Ignore the message - the pop up message will disappear after a while and your iPhone will function as if you selected 'No'.
When I connect my Cygnett iPod accessory to the iPhone, it doesn’t appear to work? Please refer to the Cygnett iPhone compatibility chart to see if any adaptors are required.
I can’t send output of Album Art or Video content, the Video-Out feature seems to be disabled? The Video-Out feature is not enabled when using your iPhone with some of the existing Cygnett iPod accessories, so you may not be able to download images or video onto your TV or computer. Please refer to the Cygnett iPhone compatibility chart for more details. *a few products may require an adaptor to fit or that only the ‘video out’ feature (that allows you to transfer images and video onto your TV), may be disabled.
